After a COVID hiatus, Fairlawn's volunteer knitters have resumed teaching participants at 40 Oaks in Regent Park (fredvictor.org) to improve their knitting and crocheting skills. There will be a table in the sanctuary on Sunday, December 10 after worship service of their handmade items for sale – with all the proceeds going back to the knitters.

Quarterly online meeting of Fairlawn's Governing Council. Governing Council – Vacancies Governing Council is the body of volunteers elected by the Congregation to ensure that the Mission /Call expressed by the congregation is fulfilled in diverse and effective ways , and that the operations of Fairlawn Avenue United Church are carried out responsibly and in support of that Mission.  The full Governing Council meet approximately four times per year. We’re seeking several Fairlawners who believe in the work of our church community and want to help shape that vision. Might you be interested in being part of Fairlawn’s council? The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. The Senior Choir practice weekly on Thursday evenings at 7:15pm – 9:00pm in the Sanctuary.
