Celebration of Life ~ Gwen Oakden

Longtime Fairlawn Avenue United Church member – and in recent years Fairlawn’s oldest member! – Gwen Oakden died, peacefully in her 106th year.

Gwen was predeceased by her husband, Gord, daughter, Janet, and son Robert, parents Charles and Emily (Moore) Robinson, sisters Joan Mann, Shirley Larkin and brother Murray. She is survived by her sons, David (Kathie), Jim (Karen), daughter, Catherine (Les Makoldy), daughter-in-law Linda as well as 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on June 24, at 11:00am at Fairlawn United Church, 28 Fairlawn Ave, Toronto. Visitation at 10:30am in the Church, Reception to follow in the church. Interment of ashes at Mount Pleasant Cemetery afterwards.
