This will be Douglas’s final Sunday with Fairlawn and we hope as many of you as possible will join us to share in this very special service. Rev. Ron Ewart, Executive Director of the Toronto United Church Council, will preside along with Douglas and Jean. There will be a farewell reception following the service.
We're Taking a break in August The building will be closed from August 1 to September 4 (inclusive) for staff vacations and scheduled maintenance. During this period, there will be no in-person or online worship services at Fairlawn. We encourage you to attend one of our North Toronto Cluster churches – both Lawrence Park Community Church and Manor Road United will hold services through August. Water Walk & Feast ~ Saturday, September 30 4:00pm - 8:30pm You are invited to join members of the North Toronto Cluster of Churches on Saturday, September 30 for an Indigenous Water Walk led by an Elder at Evergreen Brickworks with an Indigenous Feast to follow at Rosedale United Church. Registration is required. Men’s Group: On the first Monday morning of each month, the Men’s Group meet for a time of friendship and discussion. The wide-ranging conversations offer men a chance to discuss issues of mutual interest. We have 2 women’s spirituality groups where women meet monthly to contemplate life’s questions and support each other. Women's Spirituality Group I meet online the first Monday of each month (Oct'23 - June '24) from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. If interested, please reach out to

The Senior Choir of Fairlawn Avenue United Church is an auditioned group of approximately 35 members, including an 8-member professional core. The Seniors sing every Sunday from September through June at the 10:30am worship service, and are responsible for an introit, two anthems and all other service music. The Senior Choir practice weekly on Thursday evenings at 7:15pm - 9:00pm in the Sanctuary.
