Prayer Shawl Ministry
OnlineOctober 2024 -> Please note the Prayer Shawl Ministry is meeting in October off-schedule on Tuesday, October 22 at 1:30pm in-person and off-site. For details, please contact Jan Schlee at The Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters meet the third Wednesday of every month (September - June) at 1:00pm to 2:00pm online to knit and chat. Prayer shawls are offered to Fairlawn members, family and friends in need of support and comfort, or to celebrate a special occasion. The knitters work on their own time on these cozy, warm shawls that serve as a tangible reminder that one is not alone. Pastoral Visitation Team Meeting
OnlineOur pastoral visitation ministry provides support and compassion for those who may occasionally experience difficulty in their lives and supports our senior members when they can no longer regularly attend church. We send cards and flowers and keep them connected to Fairlawn through phone calls and personal visits. Breast Friends – Cancer Suport Group
OnlineBreast Friends – Cancer Support Group Women who have breast cancer, or have survived it, meet the fourth Monday of the month (September - June) on Zoom from 10:30am to 11:30am for information sharing, encouragement, fitness ideas and some fun social events. Carols Around the Crèche
Spread the word! Grab your kids, grandkids, friends and neighbours and join us on the lawn of the church for Carols Around the Crèche on Sunday, December 1 at 4:45pm to 5:30pm. This outdoor carol sing and lighting of the nativity crèche helps us mark the first Sunday of Advent in our North Toronto community. The carol songsheet can be accessed on your phone and hot chocolate will be served. We invite you to support Fairlawn's Annual Red Door Holiday Gift Drive with donations of: women’s hygiene products & toiletries baby formula and diapers (size 5 and 6) new unwrapped gifts for children to age 13 new children’s winter clothing (coats, snowpants, boots, hats, scarves and mittens) Carol Song Sheet - coming soon.
