Amnesty International Group 65 invite you, after worship service, to learn about and sign urgent action petitions in support of human rights worldwide. Amnesty International is a human rights organization and global movement of more than 10 million people in over 150 countries and territories who campaign for human rights. They are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion and are funded by private individuals. They believe acting in solidarity and compassion with people everywhere can change our world for the better.
Let's celebrate spring together with a post-service Potluck Lunch on Sunday, April 7 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. We will also take this opportunity to recognize that our newcomer Emmanuel is finishing his one-year sponsorship with Fairlawn. Please sign up and indicate what food item(s) you will contribute to the lunch. Sandwiches, salads and sweets are welcome. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, reach out to Kathleen Magladry at .
Members of the congregation are invited to come and help the Scugog Team prepare some items for the May 5th Craft Shack and Bake Sale. If you have questions or are interested in participating, contact Sandy Giles Byrne at .
Items to purchase and support Camp Scugog include printed greeting cards from original photos and watercolour paintings, tasty baked goods and other handicrafts.
Offering a respectful and safe enviornment with food and conversation for vulnerable populations. Gatherings take place on the first Tuesday of each month (September – June) from 9:00am to 10:30am

Worship Services at Fairlawn Avenue United are on Sunday mornings at 10:30am in our sanctuary, with Minister the Rev. Dr. Cameron Watts; Associate Minister Rev. Jean Ward; Eleanor Daley, Director of Music; and the Fairlawn Avenue Senior Choir. If you’d like to revisit any of our online worship services, please visit our website worship page. On Sunday, June 2 at 10:30am Fairlawn Avenue United Church celebrates Pride Month. A guest speaker will share with us the important work of Rainbow Community Places (RCP). RCP offers a weekly queer drop-in program for both seniors and youth at Birchcliff Bluffs United Church in Scarborough. The programs are a lifeline for 2SLGBTQIA+ people in precarious situations, including newcomers, refugees, and others seeking community. There will also be music to celebrate our life together as an Affirming congregation and Coffee Hour after the service. We look forward to welcoming you to Fairlawn on June 2 for our annual Pride service
