April 27 is Earth Day Sunday for Fairlawn, and it is "Unplugged Sunday". We will use as little electricity as possible. There will be no screens, coffee or tea, only cold drinks. We encourage you to use as little energy as you can that day. Carpool, bike, walk or take the TTC to church. Cook your Sunday meals on Saturday. Be creative while we are mindful on the Sunday of Creation Care.
As part of our work to help homeless people, once again we will be creating "Welcome Home Baskets" to help shelter residents transition to permanent housing. Items we are looking for include cooking essentials, cleaning materials, and bedding. There will be a table in the main lobby to drop off items between 10:00am - 12:00pm on Sunday, May 4, 11, 18, and 25. Thank you for sharing your love with our neighbours who are moving out of shelters.
Annual General Meeting, May 4. Our AGM will be held on Sunday, May 4 immediately after a shortened service in the sanctuary. The AGM agenda will be emailed in the coming weeks and will include links to the 2024 Annual Report, 2024 Annual Report Appendices and 2025 Budget.
