The Testament of Mary 3-part Series with Rev. Dr. Cameron Watts In-person Wednesday, March 12, 19 & 26 1:00pm - 2:30pm NOTE: March 26 session postponed to April 2 Cam will be leading a read-through of the novel The Testament of Mary by Colm Tóbín. The novel is written from the point of view of Mary, mother of Jesus, reflecting in her old age on her son's life and the claims he was a messiah.
Pastoral Visitation Team Meeting Our pastoral visitation ministry provides support and compassion for those who may occasionally experience difficulty in their lives and supports our senior members when they can no longer regularly attend church. We send cards and flowers and keep them connected to Fairlawn through phone calls and personal visits. Wednesdays at 7:30pm to 9:00pm, we gather online for Christian Meditation. This group is open to anyone who is interested in Meditation at any level, or are curious. All are welcome. Worship service at Fairlawn Avenue United Church are on Sunday mornings in our Sanctuary with Rev. Dr. Cameron Watts, Eleanor Daley, Director of Music and the Fairlawn Avenue Senior Choir. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, in our post-service Coffee Hour in the sanctuary – we encourage you to bring your own mug! Coffee Hour provides an important opportunity for people to connect with one another, Experience Belonging, welcome visitors and guests, and feel part of Fairlawn. If you’d like to revisit any of our worship services, curated musical offerings and service bulletins, they are posted online on our website worship page or YouTube channel.

Men’s Group: On the first Monday morning of each month (September - June), the Men’s Group meet for a time of friendship and discussion. The wide-ranging conversations offer men a chance to discuss issues of mutual interest. September 2024 -> As we will be closed for the Labour Day Statutory Holiday on Monday, September 2, our gathering will take place one week later on Monday, September 9.
