After-service Gathering & Lunch

In the past few months, you have listened to us talk to you about our future together. Our gatherings have by necessity been on Zoom, been focused and may not have allowed for sufficient conversation with you.

We would like to invite you to an in-person gathering on October 30 immediately after church to enjoy some community time to and to share a meal, and your thoughts about: 

• how you see yourself fitting into this new future; 
• how we can best support one another in our new reality, post pandemic; 
• the things at Fairlawn you hope can continue in the new future because they are important to you; 
• what a welcoming church looks like to you — and what our neighbours might think is welcoming.

After lunch, we’ll open the floor to hear your thoughts and we invite you to think about how you hope this community of faith and this building can support your needs and interests related to things like:

•  Spirituality, Music, Adult Learning, Small Groups, Worship, Pastoral Care, Affirm, Embrace Action, Community Partnerships. 

Your participation is important and will inform our 2023 budgeting, clarify the needs for volunteer recruitment and help refine some of the new program ideas in small groups and worship offerings. We are also interested in your thoughts on uses of the building beyond community partners and possible investment in renovations. 

Note: we will be eating together in the Assembly Hall, so will obviously be unmasked during that time. Otherwise, please remain masked.
